Here is a quick rundown of the projects I’ve worked on. In short, I’ve worked on projects in cancer immunotherapy, longevity, machine learning for proteins, and wet lab research. Thankful to all the mentors and friends who have helped me along the way!
More accurate DNA synthesis: designing more accurate DNA polymerases in a lab with grants from the 1517 Fund and Emergent Ventures
Looking into newer applications of protein design such as biosensors and industrial enzymes
Intern @ the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute: worked in the Gingras Lab and performed experiments to help classify protein interactions
Spoke at Web Summit 2024: Gave a talk about protein design and my research with DNA polymerase on the Corporate Innovation Stage
Built Lytix Bio: A moonshot company aiming to improve human longevity, Lytix aims to engineer the immune system to remove senescent cells from the body. Here’s the master plan for our company.
A New Way to Treat Pancreatic Cancer: I wrote a proposal on a new treatment for pancreatic cancer. It uses a CRISPR knockout of MCT1 to block butyrate from disrupting NK cells, making them stronger.
Predicting the melting temperature of a protein: based on the DeepSTABp research paper, I trained my own neural network with the same architecture to predict a protein’s melting temperature based on its sequence and other factors
Consulting: With a team, I had the opportunity to consult for Google and Microsoft. We created solutions to educate sales teams and improve data centres at these companies, respectively.
