Here are some of the projects that I’ve built over the past year!
These projects wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance that I’ve received over the past few months so I can’t thank my mentors enough for their advice. They also would not have been possible if it weren’t for the amazing work done by researchers every day, especially those who make their work open for the world to see!
Building a solution for the aging of the immune system to enhance its ability to fight disease and kill senescent cells
Improving my TCR-epitope interaction predictor model with more data from the VDJdb
Intern @ the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute: worked in the Gingras Lab and performed experiments to help classify protein interactions
Built Lytix Bio: A moonshot company aiming to improve human longevity, Lytix aims to engineer the immune system to remove senescent cells from the body. Here’s the master plan for our company.
A New Way to Treat Pancreatic Cancer: I used various research papers to conclude that a chemical called butyrate, a product of the intestinal microbiome, is responsible for the weakening of NK cells in pancreatic cancer. I also used Benchling to simulate the CRISPR knockout of the MCT1 gene, my proposed solution to the problem
TCR-Epitope Interaction Model: Built an isolation forest model to predict if an interaction exists between given CDR3 and epitope sequences. This will allow researchers to accelerate the development of CAR-T cell therapies as manual experimentation will not be needed to uncover the scFv sequence. I am still working on improving the accuracy of this model using more data
Working with Google: In December 2023, I had the opportunity to consult for Google along with four team members. We created a solution for them that uses AI to aid their sales team
